Job application tracker: keep every application and deadline in one place

Add each job as you find it, set a deadline and a date to follow up, and see what's due next. Your list stays in this browser and you can save it as a spreadsheet.

This tool runs only in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. No signup. Your work stays in this browser until you delete it.

Add the jobs you apply for and set a follow-up date. What needs chasing shows here.

Add an application

For example: call HR on Monday

Commission adverts run for weeks and shortlists come out much later, so it's easy to lose track. The Health Service Commission's October 2026 advert, for example, closes on 16 November 2026. Put that date in the Deadline box the day you see it, and set a follow-up date for when you'll check for the shortlist.

What to write down for each job

  • The post title and reference number, exactly as printed.
  • Where you applied: the portal, the email address or the office.
  • The deadline, and the date you actually applied.
  • Your login for that portal in your own notes, not in this list, and never your password.
  • What's next: wait for a shortlist, prepare for a test, bring documents.

When to follow up

Private employers and NGOs: a short message about a week or two after the closing date is fine if the advert allows contact. Public bodies: check the official site for shortlists instead of calling. The Health and Judicial Service Commissions both say that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, so silence by the end of the exercise usually means you weren't shortlisted.

Save a PDF of every advert. Adverts come down after they close, and you'll want the duties and requirements when you prepare for the interview.

Questions people ask

Where is my list saved?

Only in this browser, on this device. We don't see it. Use Export to CSV if you want a copy or you're changing phones, because clearing your browser data will delete the list.

Can I open the export in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. The CSV file opens in Excel, Google Sheets and most phone spreadsheet apps.

How do I check if I've been shortlisted?

Check the commission or employer's own site, because that's where shortlists get published. Never pay anyone who says they can see or change a shortlist.
