Role overview

YSAT is recruiting a MEAL Officer to manage monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes for its OCHA-funded Refugee Response Programme — overseeing programme monitoring systems, data quality assurance, post-distribution monitoring, and community feedback mechanisms across FSL, Protection, and WASH components.

Develop and maintain the programme MEAL plan, monitoring tools, indicator tracking systems, and data collection schedules

Conduct routine field monitoring visits across Rhino Camp, Imvepi, and Bidibidi to assess activity progress, quality, and accountability

Collect, compile, and manage programme monitoring data; conduct data-quality assessments and correct inconsistencies

y feedback and complaints mechanisms with particular attention to women, children, persons with disabilities, and older persons

Plan and conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) for cash assistance and other programme interventions

Prepare MEAL inputs, indicator updates, and PDM findings for monthly, quarterly, and donor reports

Bachelor's Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Project Planning, Information Management, or a related field

At least 3 years of relevant experience in MEAL, programme quality, accountability, or information management within humanitarian or development programmes

Practical experience with field monitoring, PDM, household surveys, data-quality assessments, and beneficiary feedback processes

Proficiency in digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare, and MS Excel

Valid motorcycle riding permit is mandatory; experience on OCHA-funded programmes is an advantage
