The Health Service Commission has advertised 1,019 posts at the Ministry of Health, referral hospitals and other health institutions. Applications are online only and close on 16 November 2026.
The Health Service Commission (HSC) has published External Advert No. 2 of October 2026 with 1,019 vacant posts. The jobs are at the Ministry of Health headquarters, at national and regional referral hospitals such as Mulago, Butabika, Mbarara, Gulu, Arua, Lira and Jinja, at China-Uganda Friendship Hospital Naguru, Uganda Blood Transfusion Services, Uganda Prisons Service and the Uganda Virus Research Institute.
Most posts are for health workers, from consultants and medical officers to enrolled midwives, enrolled nurses and psychiatric nurses. The advert also lists jobs outside medicine: receptionists, customer care assistants, catering officers, carpenters, plumbers, engineering assistants and security officers.
Applications go only through the Commission's e-recruitment system at hscers.ug, and the deadline is 16 November 2026. You can apply for at most two posts. Upload your academic certificates, the registration certificate and practising licence your profession needs, your national ID and a passport photo; each file must be under 1 MB.
Only shortlisted candidates are contacted. They bring their original documents and a completed Public Service Form 3 to the interview, and the Commission says forged documents are handed to the police. Applying is free: anyone who asks you for money to secure a post is a scammer.
