Job Purpose
Assist in formulating, reviewing and maintaining standard operating procedures for use in the workplace (Laboratories).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Setting up, demonstrating, Imparting, Teaching, Guiding, and Assessing Practicals in microbiology, biotechnology, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical analysis.
- Inventory management of consumables and equipment for practicals.
- Market survey for Laboratory consumables and Equipment.
- Quality assessment of procured Laboratory consumables and Equipment.
- Tidiness and custody of the pharmacy laboratories and their equipment. And
- Care and functionality for the pharmacy laboratories and their equipment.
Required Qualifications
An Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Technology – Microbiology, or Biology, or Bachelor of Science Technology – Biology, or Microbiology, or Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, or Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, or Bachelor of Science in Biology, or Equivalents.
Experience
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience
Skills/Competences
i. Customer Care;
ii. Ability to communicate precisely and concisely;
iii. Analytical skills;
iv. Proficiency in using machines and computers.
Tenure of Appointment
4-year contract
Age Limit
